Staff

Lauren Reed

A native to Winston-Salem, Lauren recently joined the Milner's Family as General Manager in late November of 2008. Growing up here, she has had the opportunity to watch the culinary scene in the Triad evolve over the years. She recieved a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from Appalachian State University in 2000; however, she has known since a young age that the restaurant business would be in her blood for life. After graduating from college, Lauren spent three years working at the Washington Duke Inn and Golf Club, a four diamond, four star resort in Durham. There she gained immeasureable skills and knowledge of wine, service, and good ol' southern hospitalty. Her motto is: Hospitality is more than just service. It is going above and beyond to make every guest feel as if they were part of our family and knowing that all of their needs are met with a warm and friendly smile. When she is not working, Lauren enjoys spending time cooking with her husband (who is a chef), camping, hiking, playing with their two dogs: Kitty and Potter, and of course, her most enjoyabe past time - Watching Duke Basketball!!

John Fox

Known to everyone as “Fox”, John graduated from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro with a degree in Psychology. John and his wife Brooke are proud parents to two beautiful children. Originally from San Antonio, TX and part of a military family, John was fortunate to experience much of Europe and resided in the Azores, Portugal for some years. During his free time John enjoys golf, football, spending time with his family, and playing with bottle rockets. Fox became a member of the Milner’s team prior to opening in 2005 and assisted in the development and training of the initial staff. John began bartending in Philadelphia then moved to Charlotte where he became a corporate trainer for Texas Roadhouse. Fox retains the position of Assistant General Manager, but concentrates most of his time behind the bar where he enjoys the fast pace and interacting with Milner’s very eclectic bar crowd.

Tekeena Morrison

Tekeena has been a member of the Milner’s Family since the very beginning as a Hostess. She was promoted to a Front of House Manager in the summer of 2006. She had earned her Associates Degree in communications from Broward Community College in Fort Lauderdale. Also known as “Queen Bee” by her co-workers, Tekeena is consistently boosting moral through her positive attitude and sense of humor. John and Buddy are fortunate to have her as a member of their staff.
Manager Takeena Morrison runs our dining room and greets most of our guests at the front door.  She's the proud mother of four beautiful children, a family woman to the core.
